We're looking for a CFO in our New York Headquarters that will deliver and drive the financial plan through excellence in financial strategy & stewardship. You will serve as a business partner to the NA CFO, NY CEO, as well as the executive leadership team and facilitate driving an aggressive growth strategy that creates significant value for the Company's stakeholders. The CFO, together with the agency executive leadership team, will set the financial and operational strategy and develop metrics tied to the strategy. They will develop and monitor a control system designed to protect company assets and report accurate financial results to our parent company, WPP. The CFO should have experience working within in the Agency holding company model, and a proven track record of managing a high performing diversified portfolio of businesses, including divisions and stand-alone brands, with aggregate annual revenue more than $50M.. Responsibilities. Directing all aspects of accounting operations, overseeing all transactions related to billing, revenue recognition, general ledger, receivables, payables, payroll, and financial reporting.. Develop, implement and scale best of breed financial controls, performance metrics, and operating disciplines to foster growth.. Provide hands-on, metrics-driven financial leadership to help accelerate growth and provide the executive team with \"operational insight\" to better manage the business.. Meet WPP close requirements, including P&L, balance sheet, headcount and all supplemental reporting schedules by required reporting timelines, for monthly, quarterly and annual submissions.. Ensure companies books fully agree with Cartesis submissions. All differences would be tracked and properly corrected timeously.. Partner with senior management in financial planning and results management. Work with other team members to understand revenue and cost drivers and define appropriate reports for tracking.. Preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, and/or preparing tax information with the holding company.. Managing relationships, directly or indirectly, with clients.. Working with WPP tax to ensure compliance with all required federal, state, local, payroll, property and other applicable taxes not managed through the corporate parent.. Managing timeliness of accounts payable and accounts receivable as part of effective working capital and cash flow management.. Ensuring proper internal controls are followed, meeting WPP's SOX and Control Guidelines and maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.. Qualifications. 15+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience with 5+ years in a financial leadership role. Bachelors Degree required and Masters preferred. Experience in Advertising or Communications (holding company model highly preferred). High energy and attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and deliver in a deadline-oriented environment. Superior interpersonal and negotiation skills; demonstrated effective listening and questioning skills and is comfortable dealing with all levels in the organization. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate and deal with all levels in the organization in a clear, timely and effective manner.
