It all begins with you. - Corporate Risk* helps all Wells Fargo businesses identify and manage risk. The team focuses on several key risk types, including conduct, credit, financial crimes, information security, interest rate, liquidity, market, model, operational, regulatory compliance, reputation, strategic, and technology risk. The group provides leadership, enhances communications, assists with problem identification and solutions, and shares best practices. In addition, the group provides an enterprise-wide view of risk, assists management and our Board of Directors in identifying and monitoring risks that may affect multiple lines of business, and takes appropriate action when business activities exceed the risk tolerance of the company. - Wells Fargo Compliance* is the company's compliance second line of defense function, providing companywide leadership, standards, support, and independent oversight to ensure that all business groups abide by applicable laws, rules, regulations and regulatory guidance (regulatory requirements), meet compliance responsibilities, and manage compliance risks. Wells Fargo Compliance credibly challenges management decisions, business processes and activities, and evaluates and assesses adherence to applicable regulatory requirements. It provides appropriate analysis, reporting, and escalation to senior management and the Board of Directors, sets minimum standards for the company, and gives advice, guidance, and support for compliance risk management activities across the enterprise. - Enterprise Functions Compliance* is responsible for overseeing compliance risk management across corporate staff functions, including Enterprise Risk. In addition, the group oversees regulatory requirements aligned to other Risk functions as well as a number of regulations and compliance programs that cross multiple lines of business. - Tax Information Reporting Compliance* is responsible for execution of the enterprise-wide compliance risk management activities across all platforms and impacted groups for global tax information reporting and withholding regulatory requirements related to customer activity and the provision of financial services and products. These requirements arise in the company's transactions with its customers as well as when it makes payments of reportable income to third parties. The person in this position will serve as the Compliance subject matter expert for global customer tax withholding and information reporting requirements applicable to Wells Fargo businesses outside the U.S. (such as local withholding taxes, local stamp duties and local financial transaction taxes, FATCA and CRS, and requirements under U.S. law as they apply to Wells Fargo businesses outside the U.S.) . The position will consult with regional Compliance teams, other risk functions, the Corporate Tax department and regional business leaders as necessary to describe regulatory requirements, establish major compliance requirements in the Compliance inventory, support effective testing programs and address issues and complaints. The position will oversee and assess business compliance with (and related controls for) applicable regulatory sources, as well as associated major requirements and enterprise policies and procedures. The Compliance Consultant will be required to build strong relationships with risk peers/partners; key business and staff group partners; and senior level management in the Enterprise Functions group communities, providing subject matter expertise in the regulatory compliance arena. Specific duties for this position include, but are not limited to: - Serve as the Compliance subject matter expert for assigned regulatory sources described above - Perform activities required under the Wells Fargo Compliance Program Policy and related policies and procedures - Review legal regulatory alerts and regulatory requirements to determine applicability to lines of businesses and support functions - Participate in enterprise/cross business initiatives to ensure successful implementation of applicable regulatory changes or other required action plans - Review new Wells Fargo policies and changes to existing policies to determine applicability to laws and regulations supported - Coordinate compliance training and awareness as needed - Support internal testing, audits or regulatory examinations as needed, including review of test scripts for testing programs managed by Testing and Validation teams - Collaborate effectively with, business group Compliance and control executive teams and front line business and operations teams - Assist team members with ad hoc assignments Required Qualifications: - 12+ years of experience in compliance, operational risk management (includes audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, or the management of a process or business with accountability for compliance or operational risk), or a combination of both; or 12+ years of IT systems security, business process management or financial services industry experience, of which 6+ years must include direct experience in compliance, operational risk management, or a combination of both Desired Qualifications: - Advanced Microsoft Office skills - Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills - Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy - Ability to interact with all levels of an organization - Ability to travel up to 10% of the time Job Expectations: - Ability to travel up to 10% of the time How to Express Interest in This Job: Wells Fargo invites you to apply for this job at ************************************************************************************************************* & FOCUS=Applicant & SiteId=1 & JobOpeningId=******* & PostingSeq=1.
