PROFILE SUMMARY Voya's Sr. Associate Counsel Role provides legal services and advice as an attorney to Voya Financial and designated customers. This individual typically has 4-8 years of experience and will have significant case responsibility requiring independent judgment and direct client contact. The person in this role may be asked to train others, but will function as an individual contributor. PROFILE DESCRIPTION Provides legal services and advice to clients within the corporation, usually within certain matters with which the counsel has an expertiseSupport Stable Value and Fixed Income product developmentReview and negotiate separate account and synthetic guaranteed investment contractsReview state insurance plans of operation filingsSupport development of new investment product offeringsProvide analysis of state and federal securities laws and regulations impacting investment products.Review product disclosure documentsAssist the Sales and Product departments with responding to legal and regulatory inquiries and requests for proposals from prospective Tax Exempt clients, as well as negotiating client and third party agreements. Advise on matters relating to plan administration and recordkeeping services.Provide guidance to Plan Administration and Relationship Managers in resolving legal issues and establishing policies and procedures; including issues, ERISA and tax law analysis.May provide functional advice to less experienced attorneys.
