Responsibilities

Monitors and corrects account balances (debits and credits) in the Patient Accounting and Contract Management systems. Resolve open balances by identifying if the source of the problem is 3rd party payer, internal contract setup, or a combination of both and eliminating future variances. Processing adjustments and billing for inpatient account status changes to downgraded inpatient accounts.

Qualifications

Full-Time Days (40 hours/wk); Monday through Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm.

  • High School Diploma. Some college courses related to Third Party billing preferred.
  • AAHAM CRCSCertification preferred.
  • 2+ yearsexperience with collections followup with insurance carriers, 2 years minimum experience with computerized billing systems, Hands-on experience in billing for a variety of insurance carriers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge in personal computing applications and third party reimbursement.
  • Excellent organizational and coordination skills.
  • Solid skills in use of Patient Accounting Systems, Contract Managerement systems. Knowledge of word/excel/analytics tools.
  • Ability to manager time effectively.
  • Thorough understanding of hospital billing and major third party contracts.
