We are currently searching for an amazing and passionate Payroll Manager to work from our beautiful Coral Gables Corporate offices.

As the Payroll Manager at TROC you will be responsible for overseeing the processing of our multi-state weekly and biweekly payroll. You will be developing and maintaining effective payroll processes, assist in the administration of our HRIS and ensuring proper governmental reporting and compliance across all entities. In this role you will be working closely to several members of Finance and the People Experience Team along with your direct reports.

  • Manage weekly/bi-weekly commitments related to payroll processing ensures that all payroll processes are accurate, timely and in compliance with Federal, State and local laws.
  • Understand payroll strategies, deliver recommendations for improving payroll process, and driving opportunities to automate.
  • Manage regular preparation of relevant management reports, including weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports (gross payroll, hours worked, vacation accrual, tax deductions, benefit deductions, etc.)
  • Develop and maintain checklists, standard written operating procedures and other documentation regarding payroll processes and implement controls and the appropriate “checks and balances' to ensure compliance.
  • Support and/or drive key business and ad hoc Payroll initiatives, and other projects affecting large populations of TROC’s workforce.
  • Ensure all pay adjustments, direct deposits forms, employee garnishments, payroll deductions and income tax withholding are properly processed.
  • Verify calculations and confirm other earnings (e.g., bonuses, incentive payments and other compensation) are processed.
  • Train employees and managers on timekeeping and payment administration such as reviewing and approving employees’ timecards.
  • Develop user procedures, guidelines and documentation and conducts trainings for staff as needed.
  • Direct and supervises activities of Payroll Department team members by providing technical expertise and developing/reviewing policies and procedures to improve productivity standards
  • Ensure Payroll team members are fully trained, coach and monitor their performance.
  • Set annual goals with the payroll team so that short- and long-term goals are met and exceeded.
  • Lead and supports all projects and initiatives directed by management.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or other related field.
  • 5-7 years’ experience managing a multi-state payroll department.
  • 2-3 years managing a team of payroll administrators.
  • Demonstrated working experience of payroll tax at the federal, state and local levels.
  • Extensive knowledge of ADP WorkforceNow.
  • Demonstrated proficiency at MS Office Excel.
  • Ability to manage and lead staff to excellent performance.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
  • Must be a team player and possesses a strong customer service orientation.
  • Must be highly organized with a high attention to detail.
