What you get to do every single day

-Manages the compensation and benefits accounting team, including members in our shared services center in India, while partnering with payroll and operations, to ensure the compensation programs are being accounted for in accordance with US GAAP.
Reviews account reconciliations for appropriate completion and adherence with US GAAP.
Deasl successfully with ambiguity, managing multiple priorities and able to lead team through complex changes.
Effectively influences to help support and implement organizational priorities and initiatives.
Acts as a subject matter expert in payroll and compensation accounting practices and processes, provides customers with clear and consistent guidance and education.
Leads and motivates the team to improve or simplify current process.
Manage and execute month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial data in compliance with GAAP and Company policies. Recommends solutions, maintains consistency and leadership when issues arise during close.
Identifies key risks and opportunities and works cross functionally to provide solutions that drive process improvements and strengthen the control environment.
Advises on accounting and financial impacts of new or proposed transactions, quantifies opportunities and risks, and recommends solutions.
Provides oversight to ensure systems, processes and internal controls are consistently applied.

- Lead and encourage the full accounting team performance during the closing process to ensure deadlines are met

- Periodically review and inspect the balance sheets and income statement accounts of Senior Accountants

- Assemble a variety of technical accounting policies, procedures, and analyses

- Assist in preparing GAAP financial statements through data analysis, document preparation, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes

- Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable

- Work closely with FP&A and accounting management to create relevant and timely reports on financial data analytics like the monthly flash report, key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets/outlook

- 5+ years of recent relevant financial experience

- Strong problem solving and analytical skills

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience

- Proven technical skills

- Customer service oriented communication skills that allow for pleasant and beneficial interactions with all customers
