Job Description and Duties

The Filing Services Bureau (FSB) is searching for a talented individual to join our team. Under the direction of the Administrator I of the Correspondence Analysis Support & Education Section (CASES), the Program Specialist I will provide technical support to the Filing Services Bureau and public service staff through telephone contact, manual writing, and training. The incumbent will also work with the Filing Division Training Team to provide the necessary law and technical training for FSB and departmental staff. The Program Specialist I will act independently in writing specialized and complex tax law sections of the RACK and provide back-up support for the final technical review of the RACK sections. As part of these services, the incumbent will be required to understand, research, and resolve technical issues on some of the most complex Revenue and Taxation Code. This position will require that the incumbent interact with the public and the bureau's public service staff on a daily basis. The incumbent will be asked to represent the department in a positive and effective manner to audiences, both within and outside the department, with a wide range of knowledge. The incumbent is expected to maintain good dependability and possess efficient and effective work habits, including time utilization.
