POSITION SUMMARY

:

This position is primarily responsible for the day-to-day finance and accounting tasks for SFA and SFM as well as other owned entities. The position requires solid accounting experience combined with strong analytical skills. The candidate will be someone who is self-starting, energetic, focused with ever increasing responsibility and challenge. The Senior Accountant position will be a valuable role that helps support our mission of improving the health and economic vitality of the communities we serve.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • General bookkeeping using QuickBooks Online for multiple entities with complex inter-company transactions
  • Responsible for managing the monthly close process for the corporate entities.
  • Bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, variance analysis and financial statement preparation for review by the Vice President of Finance
  • Coordinate with other accounting staff on transactions with the venues
  • Support preparation of annual budgets
  • Assist the Vice President of Finance with financial oversight of stabilized venues under management
  • Other projects as directed by the Vice President of Finance
  • QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficient with QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online
  • Financial Statement preparation experience (Balance Sheet, Income Statement & Cash Flow)
  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration, as well as solid knowledge of bookkeeping/accounting and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Minimum of five (5) years experience including general accounting, month-end close, account analysis and financial reporting.
  • Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing.
  • Must be able to keep company, client and payroll information strictly confidential.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Proficient with Excel, Outlook and Word
