Sovereign Consulting Inc., an environmental consulting and remediation firm headquartered in Robbinsville, NJ, is seeking an Accountant (5+ years of experience) to become an integral member of the company’s accounting team located in Burlington, NJ. This competent professional will perform, or be involved in the oversight of, a variety of accounting tasks, with responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• G/L Management

• Financials Review

• Taxes

• Fixed Assets

• A/P

• A/R

• Billing

• Employee Expenses

• Company Insurance

• Cash/Application

Qualified candidates will possess:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting

• minimum 5 years of practical accounting experience

• previous experience in a consulting or project business, preferably environmental consulting

• strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLookup

• experience with Deltek Vision software a plus

• proficient in handling tasks independently as well as part of a team

• the ability to multi-task effectively and meet deadlines

• excellent communication skills (including written and verbal)

Employment at Sovereign is contingent upon the results of a Drug & Alcohol screening test and a pre-placement medical evaluation that determines candidate’s ability to capably and safely perform the proposed job duties. Candidates must present documentation that confirms identity and eligibility for employment in the United States. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
