Software Guidance Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an Negotiator for a Contract assignment with one of our premier Financial Services clients in New York, NY . Responsibilities Driving initiatives deals related to on premise and public Cloud products and services (IaaSPaaSCaaSSaaS), Infrastructure Software, as well as manage other key initiatives that arise in the wider Data Center and Hosting team Developing, issuing, and managing competitive RFx's, in cooperation with key stakeholders Negotiating, and executing complex and outsourcing contracts that incorporate business requirements and deliver substantial cost savings, improve service levels and ensure flexibility over the life of the agreement Updating and maintaining the book of work for all key initiatives, documenting project status, costs and savings calculations Coordinating execution of successful Data Center and Hosting Service vendor contract negotiations Leading cross-functional teams (end users, legal, IT, etc.) in contract negotiations Identifying and translating operational requirements into performance management metrics (SLA's, KPI's) and contractual terms and conditions Developing and maintaining strong relationships with primary stakeholders with the goal of becoming a Trusted Advisor and Partner Introducing innovative sourcing ideas to the stakeholders, e.g. identifying potential sourcing synergies between companies, real time benchmarking, knowledge sharing of best practices, etc. Building effective and cooperative alliances externally with key vendors and manage directly those vendor relationships from a commercial perspective Reviewing existing contracts and recommending alternative strategies for improved efficiencies and cost savings Managing multiple high value sourcingefficiency projects Required Skills Strong command of contractual terms conditions, including the ability to interpret clauses in order to identify risks that may arise over the course of a contract's lifecycle and to mitigate issues via sourcing and contractual solutions Strong contract negotiation skills Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to articulate complex ideas in concise, easy-to-understand business terms to senior executives Excellent analytical skills and experience with business case review and developing contracting principles, including scoping, pricing, and performance measurements Strong influencing, collaboration and relationship-building skills, both internally with key partners and externally with vendors Proficient project management skills A demonstrated track record of working in a multi-tasking, international environment with an ability to work effectively with cross-border teams Advanced MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills and can quickly learn other standard procurement and demand management tools A proactive approach to identifying and solving problems Preferred Skills Preference for prior experience in Data Center and Hosting Services type engagements and contracts
