POSITION DESCRIPTION The Payroll & HR Systems Specialist provides support across Simply Beautiful Smiles, comprised of nearly 500 employees in 24 locations throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey. This role reports directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer. The most important criteria for this role is strong experience as a Payroll and Human Resources Information System (HRIS) Administrator on an enterprise-wide level. Prior ADP Workforce Now experience, while not absolutely required, is strongly preferred. The successful candidate will have broad Payroll & HRIS experience, including: Manage semi-monthly multi-state payroll, including garnishments, benefits and taxes Ensure the processing of new hires, temporary workers, transfers, promotions and terminations is accurate and timely Critically review and analyze current payroll, benefits and tax procedures in order to recommend and implement changes leading to best-practice operations Strong expertise building reports and manipulating data using Business Intelligence software Creation of standard work, policies, and procedures around Payroll and HRIS maintenance and application The individual in this role must be adept at not only the technical aspects of the role, but also at dealing with internal customers at all levels of the organization. This individual must also have a sound understanding of how to support through Payroll & HRIS a growing and changing business, and will be a capable and credible business consultant to both HR and Line Management. Additionally, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work across the business and directly with the CHRO and business leadership in additional areas of HR, including Compensation/Benefits and Employee Relations. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES Provide training and guidance to system end users, create and/or update training and process documentation Collaborate with ADP technical support regarding to functional issues and addressing special business needs and projects Serve as main point of contact for reporting, creating new reports and running existing reports QUALIFICATIONS At least 5 years experience as a Payroll administrator, or in a HR role with Payroll responsibility Bachelor's Degree preferred Previous experience as a systems super-user Professional-level proficiency in advanced MS Excel ADDITIONAL SKILLS/ABILITIES REQUIRED Prior Project Management capability & experience, including the ability to handle multiple ongoing projects at once while still maintaining day-to-day operational requirements Ability to resolve routine Payroll & HRIS problems and questions independently Strong bias for action and keen sense of urgency Highly detailed and results oriented Exceptional data analytics & problem solving skills Flexible and adaptable to demanding and fast-paced work environment As an Equal Opportunity Employer, Simply Beautiful Smiles is committed to a diverse workforce.
