This position is responsible for developing strategies and managing account relationships with SAE International's reseller channel (domestic standards resellers).

PRIMARY DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and manage sales strategies, business plans and license agreements for sales of SAE's publications through resellers. Own all aspects of the business relationship and drive executive alignment and sales engagement.
  • Provide pricing quotes for new/existing/competitive royalty requests, new product updates, marketing materials, and any other information required for resellers to effectively represent SAE to their customers and industry. Work in collaboration with internal departments within SAE to connect them with resellers when appropriate to further enable resellers' success.
  • Working in tandem with sales management, assist sales reps and managers on particular account strategies/business plans and be the liaison between SAE Sales and resellers in developing and progressing specific account strategies and opportunities.
  • Manage all royalty reports, run monthly upload reports to track global royalties, track global sales revenue in Salesforce.com. Update account records, add and maintain contacts, and track all sales activity on a daily/monthly/quarterly basis as needed.
  • Working with Finance and Global Product Management, create budgets and forecasts for each assigned reseller. Maintain and revise budgets on a regular basis and present to senior leadership at Monthly Forecast Meetings.
  • Develop an expert level of understanding of all SAE International products and service lines and serve as a subject matter expert to your customer base. Regularly gather and share market data and intelligence on products and customers with other SAE International internal departments such as Product, Marketing, and User Experience.

  • EDUCATION and/orEXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors degree inBusiness, Communications, Marketing required.
  • Five years business to business sales experience and three years experience managing reseller or distributor account relationships.
  • SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGEAND SKILLS:

  • Fluent in Microsoft Office suite of products, including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to travel 30%
