This firm is number one in their industry segments, and as a result of their continued growth, our client is looking to add to their corporate accounting team and hire this Technical Accounting and Consolidations Lead. This is a high exposure role with significant exposure to senior and executive leadership. If hired for this Technical Accounting and Consolidations Lead position, you will be reporting to a Senior Manager of Accounting and their Director and be responsible with the following:
• Supporting the completing of their external regional quarterly, and annual audits
• Lead their North American consolidations footnotes, and financial reporting
• Review and help update their accounting policies and procedures as well as training to their accounting teams
• Aid in the intercompany reporting and support the identification of variance analysis and root causes
• With your team supporting technical accounting guidance and memos
• Monitor and report FASB and IFRS activities and help identify changes in guidance and advice leadership
• Research, draft, and interpret all new accounting standards
• Help with the implementation of new accounting standards and provide guidance overall as an expert

For consideration candidates will need to have 5 or more years of experience including the following: possessing your CPA designation, have a thorough understanding of US GAAP, IFRS, consolidations, and exposure to the following: revenue cognition, lease accounting (and embedded leases), investments (ASC 320-325), pension accounting, M&A, variable interest entities, and variable interest entities. Our client is also requiring candidates have excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and professionals who have worked for publicly traded firms.
