Key responsibilities - Perform month end close, journal entries, with minimum supervision - Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks - Regular maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries - Become well-versed in month end balance sheet account reconciliations - Maintain depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation - Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested - Compose thorough journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll - Organize and review various financial data, then report it in a manner that is useful and understandable - Handle intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation - Maintain capital lease and monthly payment schedules - Assemble analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management reporting - Partake in various department-wide initiatives - Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems - High attention to detail - Ability to meet deadlines - Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment - Solid understanding of account reconciliation - Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases - Fully formed organizational, written and verbal communication skills - Recent and relevant accounting experience - BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics - Competent with spreadsheets and databases - Sharp, analytical thinking abilities, always seeking to draw connections and identify the \"why\" - Knowledgeable of ERP systems
