Job Description:

Looking for a strong Senior Staff Accountant to work out of our Miami, Florida Aero Components International (ACI) facility. This position will have a broad range of technical, day-to-day finance/accounting, and project-based responsibilities.

Duties include:

Involvement with revenue recognition and compliance, forecasting and budgeting, revenue and gross margin analysis, monthly close activities, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, as well as involvement in annual audit and consolidation reporting.

The candidate should have a BS Degree in Finance or Accounting with 5+ years of experience. A strong cost accounting background and previous manufacturing experience is required. All duties will be performed in a fast-paced and flexible environment

Responsible for reviewing all Month end closing entries and reconciliations

Responsible for entering all E-procurement transaction for the month, via journal entry

Responsible of reviewing entries from the Staff accountant

Responsible for month-end closing check list working long hours

Review the commissions file created by Staff accountant

Prepare month-end sales and orders report (Including 606 revenue recognition analysis)

Reclass Intercompany sales

Monthly warranty accrual

LCM Reserve analysis

Leads the month end close and forecast process.

Proactively evaluates the results of operations, identifies trends/risks/opportunities and recommends actions to ensure the business unit achieves its commitments.

Responsible for the integrity of the General Ledger.

Provides technical financial advice and knowledge to others within the function and the broader business unit.

Maintains effective internal controls to ensure protection of assets and an accurate reporting of financial position.

Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.

Aggressively drives improvements in Working Capital.

Demonstrates strong understanding of GAAP.

Ensures revenue recognition compliance.

Assist with internal and external audit requests.

Provide analysis of monthly activity for management.

Review margin trends and highlight significant fluctuations.

Provide product line and customer profitability analysis.

Ensure corporate/divisional policies and procedures are followed.

Special projects as assigned.

Other duties as assigned.

Additional Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance required

3 years in a manufacturing environment with cost accounting experience

Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing experience a plus.

Strong background in GAAP, SEC Reporting and Sarbanes-Oxley Act compliance.
