Description:

As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for providing the highest levels of client service working with Staff Accountants, Senior Managers and Partners as well as interacting with clients in a range of markets and industries.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review of complex partnership and corporate returns
  • Prepare complex individual state and trust returns
  • Research issues involved in federal, state and local tax planning projects
  • efficiency & effectiveness, achieve quality goals, maintain productivity, and maximize utilization and realization
  • Manage, coach and mentor less experienced staff
  • Act as a technical resource on all tax issues
  • Respond to inquiries from other offices, both nationally and internationally
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining superior client relationships in the M&D client niche
  • Provide tax technical support (review and manage) on complex issues related to individual income tax returns
  • Assist in the creation and development of business succession plans for M&D clients
  • Participate in strategic marketing and branding initiatives to increase revenues from the M&D area
  • Conduct and present in technical sessions, focusing on recent developments to professionals throughout the firm
  • Ability to cross-sell other departments of the firm using this leading niche of the firm's business plan, such as valuation services, wealth management, estate planning
  • Develop, educate and train staff and assist in the growth and development of the Firm s professional team members
  • Requirements:

  • Bachelor s Degree in Accounting
  • CPA Required
  • Excellent communication skills (oral/written), organizational and interpersonal skills, and attention to detail
  • Strong project management and analytical skills
  • Strong leadership, training, mentoring and staff development skills Professionalism, dependability, integrity, and trustworthiness combined with a team mentality
  • Extensive knowledge of income, estate and gift tax planning, compliance and consulting
  • 5+ years of relevant tax experience at a public accounting firm with1-2 year(s) as a Manager
  • Excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Highly motivated self-starter with ability to multitask and complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
