We have an excellent opportunity for an Audit Senior to work with our Manufacturing and Distribution Group in our Woodbury, Long Island office.
As an Audit Senior in our Manufacturing and Distribution Group, you will work with a range of clients in the food and beverage, consumer products and shipping space.
Job Responsibilities: Leading client audit engagements including planning, executing, and completing financial statement audits Documenting work-papers and following up on client document request lists Researching technical guidance to provide Managers and Partners with appropriate solutions Proactively interacting with clients to complete audits, reviews and compilations efficiently Supervising, developing and evaluating Audit Staff and Interns Contributing to in-house educational initiatives. Identify accounting issues under U.S GAAP and/or IFRS; perform research to solve issues Supervise audit engagements and monitor the work of audit staff, keeping managers informed of the engagement status Draft the audit summary memoranda, the management letter, and the presentation of key discussion points for the closing meeting with the management Develop and maintain relationships with client personnel to obtain a better understanding of business operations, processes and functions Stay informed of current economic developments relevant to each client s business and industry Manage staff performance, conduct timely performance reviews, and provide performance feedback Demonstrate professionalism
Required: Bachelor s Degree in Accounting 3-5 years of recent experience as an auditor with public accounting experience with a focus on manufacturing and distribution Knowledge of manufacturing, distribution, media, and service industries Excellent computer skills, accounting software, knowledge of ProSystem a + Completed education as a CPA or dedicated to take CPA exam Strong experience in large corporate assignments Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Motivated to meet client deadlines and provide first-rate client service Motivated by challenges and desire to be part of a team Strong analytical and report writing skills Proven experience of meeting strict deadlines within budgetary constraints Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment Excellent oral and written communication skills with a client focus Highly detail-orientated, organized and proactive Willing to travel to client locations Experience with Employee Benefit Plan audits is highly desirable but not essential.* The salary listed in the header is an estimate based on salary data for similar jobs in the same area.
