KPMG is currently seeking a Manager in M&A Services for our KPMG Strategy practice.
Responsibilities: Serving as a key advisor, direct engagements related to the creation and implementation of M&A operational due diligence and stand alone cost assessments in Private Equity and Corporate environments in the Consumer/Retail industry Lead proposal and business development activities by leveraging existing relationships with C-level executives and working with partners to develop new external client business in M&A Services Manage cross-functional project teams and lead team interviews/workshops Drive/Lead the development and presentation of final project deliverables Manage the quality of engagements and the development of staff
Qualifications: A minimum of eight years of external consulting experience in developing and implementing mergers and acquisitions (M&A) strategy to include operational due diligence and stand alone cost assessments in Private Equity and Corporate environments for the Consumer/Retail industry Bachelor's degree from an accredited university/college; MBA from an accredited university preferred Financial acumen and operational due diligence experience (CPA or CFA is a plus) within the Consumer/Retail industry, familiarity with FDD concepts such as Quality of Earnings, Net Debt, and Net Working Capital, operational experience with functional knowledge of Finance, HR, IT, Supply Chain, and experience working in/analyzing CPG companies with the ability to understand the industry-specific issues Experience interacting with all parties involved in a deal transaction (Client, FDD, Bankers), developing financial/organizational baselines, creating standalone cost and synergy models, with integration management office/separation management office experience Excellent foundational consulting skills: analytical, written and verbal communication, strong executive presence, facilitation and presentation skills Travel may be up to 70-80% Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future
