RESPONSIBILITIES:

The CollectioKforce has a client that is seeking a Collections Associate in Oceanside, CA. Essential Duties:
  • The Collections Associate supports the process to manage customer receipts and collect outstanding balances
  • Supports improvement processes and procedures to ensure accurate and timely customer reporting
  • Manages work to meet tight month end close deadlines
  • Tracks daily progress managing balance of efficiency and effectiveness when there are competing priorities
  • Identify and post accounts receivable payments, apply credits, and/or adjustments to the appropriate customer and expense accounts
  • Process and apply daily cash receipts using accounting software via uploads and manual entry
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies such as short pays with direct contact with the customer and internal departments to clear issues
  • Analyze AR aging and perform collections on delinquent accounts via phone or email
  • Document all collection communication timely and track follow up requirements
  • Navigate efficiently through the A/R and G/L modules to quickly create system generated reports
  • Respond to AR team questions for quick resolution and feedback in a timely manner
  • Provide insight to accounting to forecast cash receipts that reflect trends in customer payment activity
  • Adjust workload depending on changes in systems, company structure, organizational structure and be agile
  • Support and lead special projects as needed

Job Requirements:

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in cash application and collections experience
  • MS Office applications and tools (strong Excel; V-Lookup, Tables)
  • Strong oral and written communication
  • Sense of urgency
