As part of the business transformation for North America (moving to an organisation structure which is primarily aligned to the geographic NA Market), a new CFO role has been created to support the Kantar NA CEO.. The successful candidate has a strong leadership role and will be pivotal in transforming the North America Business as part of a North America executive leadership team.. The CFO will help not only improve business performance but also be a key contributor to important strategic and operational decisions.. The role will be based in NYC and will required some National / International Travel (10-15%). You will have supervisory responsibility for a team.. Plan and execute the financial strategy of the company and ensure full transparency over the financial performance of the company. Identify KPI's/ trends/ analysis in order to drive and improve company performance.. Partner with key business stakeholders to evaluate the service offer portfolio and ensure that resources are efficiently allocated to high growth and high margin offers. Understand key revenue and cost drivers to aid other decision makers in improving revenue and profitability e.g. staff utilisation and capacity planning. Identify opportunities for cost savings and execute as appropriate. Evaluate investment opportunities and make recommendations based on expected returns. Support strategic account management and planning where applicable. Partner with the reward team to ensure incentives/ commission schemes are designed effectively in order to drive better financial performance. Provide commercial support to client acquisition teams, ensuring pricing is competitively benchmarked and commercial terms are compliant with best practice/ Kantar policies.. Evaluate investment opportunities and make recommendations based on expected returns. Support the business with M&A/ JV activity and liase closely with the central Kantar M&A teams. Drive improvement in working capital and cash flows. Effectively and clearly communicate potential risks in a timely manner. Propose action plans to ensure that annual financial objectives are attained. Prepare reliable current and forecasting reports and budgets and identify risks and mitigations if required. Leads the finance director/ business partner function and works to ensure the team support the business effectively and efficiently. Key Strengths:. Experience in partnering with an executive team and have a high level of written and oral communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and with staff supporting from central Finance teams.. CFO Function & Financial Acumen - A leader that has managed the financial actions of a company and has a demonstrable track record of driving improvement in reporting and forecasting.. Expertly tracks, and monitors income statements, balance sheets, cash flow, financial plans, forecasts, and, analyzing financial strengths and weaknesses and proposing corrective actions where necessary.. Refined ability to objectively analyse information to identify problems within and challenges facing the organization and then uses an integrated approach to develop effective solutions to address them.. Entrepreneurial Growth Mindset - Desire to want to build, grow, and own the outcomes of a business's success.. Will have a continuous improvement mindset capable of driving for results often with limited or incomplete information. Takes initiative to learn quickly and runs with what information is available vs. waiting to be told what to do next.. Having an authentic executive presence, is relatable, approachable, and respected across the organization.. Required Education / Experience. A Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting from an accredited university. 15 years of senior financial management experience with a track record of success. Financial management experience in an early stage company. 5 years corporate accounting experience including consolidations, foreign currencies. Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods. Expert level spreadsheet, database, and reporting skills. Proven verbal and written communication skills. Hands-on, highly effective, results-driven, efficient, detail-oriented. Ability to meet deadlines. Preferred Education / Experience. A CPA and/or an MBA is preferred in addition to a Bachelor's degree in Finance / Economics.
