The Position: The Wealth Management Decision Sciences Managing Director supporting Chase Wealth Management, YouInvest, and the US and International Private Bank is a critical leadership position, responsible for leveraging analytics, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence to enable and support our strategic business priorities.The MD of Wealth Management is a new position which will be responsible for partnering with senior leaders to build and execute our analytic strategy while building and leading a high performing team.This position will report to the Head of Consumer Bank & Wealth Management Decision Sciences. Responsibilities: Business outcomes Understands the Wealth Management business and its strategic priorities comprehensively (Marketing, Sales, Digital, Servicing, etc.) across both the wealth spectrum (Mass Affluent through Ultra High Net Worth) and all product lines (e.g., Deposit, Investment, Mortgage) Experience leading teams focused on Marketing, Digital, Sales and Modeling Demonstrated ability building analytic strategies and executing large analytic initiatives that drive material business impacts and supports business priorities.Actively identifies ways to support these priorities through Data & Analytics, including: Conducting strategic, deep-dive analyses where appropriate Identifying, buying, testing and deploying new data types that can drive insight (from other LOBs as well as vendors) Partnering with the Modeling teams to build predictive / Machine Learning models Building tools or capabilities to support Sales teams and functions Building or partnering to build new customer-facing products Oversees the translation of Wealth Managements analytics priorities into a unified Data Strategy and funded Roadmap Leadership & Communication Self-directed Executive who doesnt just take orders, with strong influencing skills Familiarity with Big Data technologies (e.g., Hadoop) and proven ability to deliver innovation Can actively manage multiple, senior stakeholders from different businesses and functions simultaneously Actively questions and proposes ways to enhance processes across the business through Data & Analytics (including operational processes) Impact-oriented owns delivery of impact for the business - not just delivery of insight - and actively influences peers to achieve it Ability to communicate complicated ideas simply to a variety of audience types, including the CWM, YouInvest and Wealth Management leadership teams Critical thinker who can evaluate and improve skill level of a team Innovation & Partnership Continues to learn and champion new and innovative technologies to their team Actively partners with other LOB and Functional Decision Science leaders to understand the data we have available, and shares best practices People Leadership Proven Manager of Mangers, capable of overseeing 20-30 direct FTE as well as indirect FTE who will support the business through centralized COEs Dedicated coach and mentor who continually upgrades their teams skills and promotes mobility within their team and across JPMC Actively engages with external data science community to attract new talent and promote our employer brand Risk / Controls Owns and manages all Risks & compensating Controls related to: Data Quality for data originated in their LOB Data Access for their team All Data transformations performed by their team Data Quality for all data/insights provided by their team Actively supports CCB-wide initiatives to reduce Data & Analytics risk (e.g., model governance, SAS uplift) Head of Digital Platforms & Marketing Innovation Qualifications: MBA, or MS in STEM field with significant Executive experience 15+ years experience in Management Consulting and/or as a Data/Analytics Executive Experience in Financial Services, and specifically in investment and wealth management sector Familiarity with Big Data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, ClickFox) and proven ability to deliver innovation Process- and controls-oriented leader, maintains a strong system of internal governance and controls Superb leadership skills at managing large teams; outstanding and engaging people leader who has demonstrated the ability to lead, coach and develop employees within a large organization Proven ability to drive revenue and business outcomes Excellent ability to influence and partner across a large organization and drive change; low ego Strong presence and speaking skills, with the ability to influence and motivate senior executives Comfortable presenting recommendations to senior management and capable of influencing multiple stakeholders Strong business control understanding and experience Experience with a Fortune 500 company and highly recognized customer centric brand strongly preferred Not ready to apply?
