Job Summary: In this position you will lead controlling for Heraeus Medical Components business unit at four site locations: St. Paul & Plymouth, MN: Puerto Rico and Costa Rica. Reporting to the Global Head of Finance, this position has overall responsibility for leading and directing the financial planning, reporting and analysis functions fo HMC Americas, and for supporting executive leadership and site general managers in strategic and tactical decision-making.. Your Role and Responsibilies:. Coordinate and control the execution of the corporate financial strategy at the regional level.. Define financial goals and monitor their implementation at the regional level and ensure a red flag system is in place to report problems in a timely manner.. Develop and approve long term financial planning in the region.. Partner with HMC America;s business and operations management to ensure broad understanding of key financial metrics.. Lead the annual budgeting and business planning processes across HMC Americas locations, linking to strategic planning, capital investment and personnel decisions.. Lead monthly and quarterly forecasting, reporting and controlling activities as well as ensuring consistent and accurate reporting of financial and related operational information.. Monitor trends to identify risks and opportunities across key revenue and expense categories and lead activities to improve financial results.. Lead further development of HMC Americas controlling processes and install a culture of process discipline.. Analyze complex issues and significantly improve, change or adapt existing financial methods and techniques to regional departments.. Lead controlling team of 6, consistent with established human resource practices, policies and guidelines including hiring, compensation and termination decisions.. What is required for this role:. Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, MBS or CPA desired.. 5-10 years experience in finance functions accompanied by senior level experience in a service-oriented business, preferably in a manufacturing company.. Previous managerial experience of professional finance staff; ability to source, select, develop and retain top financial talent.. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate financial information.. Knowledge of site and business controlling and GAAP standards and practices as well as compliance matters.. Extensive experience with ERP systems, prior experience with SAP critical.. Ability to manage several projects and task simultaneously while adhering to deadlines..
