The Director, US International Tax Reporting and Accounting position reports to the Vice President of Taxation and is responsible for U.S. tax compliance and tax accounting associated with the activities of Standard Industries Inc. and GAF's non-U.S. entities. This includes, for example, maintaining and reporting e&p, foreign tax credit pools, tax basis, GILTI, BEAT, etc. This position also will assist with the U.S. international portion of the monthly tax provision, transfer pricing, PFIC, FBAR, withholding tax and other information reporting requirements, BEPS developments, and other special projects requiring U.S. tax analysis from an international perspective.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
U.S. international tax compliance including the preparation or review of Forms 5471 and 8858 and supporting work papers for the Company's approximately 200 foreign entities on the U.S. income tax return, as well as new Forms 8991, 8992, 8993 and others
Preparing or reviewing calculations and reporting for E&P, foreign tax credits, subpart F income, recapture accounts, GILTI, BEAT, ?987, ?901(m), foreign source income, OFL, etc.
Conducting analysis and supervising reporting for passive foreign investment companies
Assisting the VP GAF Tax on completing the international portions of Standard's U.S. tax provision
Collaborating and coordinating with foreign tax and finance colleagues and outside consultants on the foreign tax provision and tax compliance to ensure processes create readily available inputs to the U.S. tax provision and return
Conducting analysis and reporting under the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) and Foreign Bank and Financial Accounts (FBAR)
Partnering with Standard and BMI tax teams to manage U.S. transfer pricing policies and reporting with respect to intercompany transactions (royalties, management fees, intercompany product purchases, etc.) to ensure proper reporting on the U.S. income tax return and provision
Managing outside consultants regarding, for example, OECD country-by-country reporting, etc.
Coordinating with foreign tax and finance colleagues and external tax providers on the status of foreign audits and amending or adjusting the U.S. income tax return as required
Identifying ways to enhance the tax process or to improve overall efficiency and collaborating with the global tax teams to implement
Partnering with the tax and controllerships team on the selection and implementation of tax applications and tools and providing inputs on tax functional requirements for an enterprise ERP system
Collaborating on new business initiatives to evaluate U.S. tax reporting obligations
Assisting with other special projects, including foreign restructurings, transactional tax planning, and business development
Conducting technical research to determine U.S. tax consequences of proposed transactions and keeping up-to-date on recent tax developments

Experienced tax technical research ability and familiarity with Checkpoint, BNA, and CCH
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Experienced proficiency/ familiarity with Onesource (the company's current tax compliance program) and proficiency with Peoplesoft is a plus
Excellent interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to work as a team player
A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
A Master's Degree in Taxation
CPA is a plus
Ten to fifteen years of related international tax experience with a background in public accounting and/or private industry
Experience with a manufacturing company is a plus
