Responsibilities:
An acquisition specialist responsibility must have strong analytical and research skills, be a good communicator and be able to identify and resolve problems.
Work closely with outside third-party vendors to manage the Transfer of Experience Process.
Attend weekly calls regarding the Ventures and Acquisitions to gather the historical reports from the Target payroll company.
Ensure organizational compliance with federal, state and local agencies
Reconcile payroll tax reporting after each pay run to ensure accurate filings by tax service provider
Manage filing of tax reports
Monitor quarterly tax filing
Reconcile US payroll taxes to the general ledger and book journal entries
Respond to tax questions from Federal and State agencies
Reconcile cash activity to Payroll and tax service provider
Reconcile payroll reports to 941 and W2s
Review and update internal process documents as needed
Education: Must have: College. Associate/college diploma (+13 yrs) Good to have: Bachelors degree, FPC, CPP
Must be able to hit the ground running, no time for ramp up/training. This role is strictly a contract and will end in the 9-12 months, there will be no possibility of conversion, please make sure your candidates are fully aware and acceptable of this. Must have extensive experience with payroll tax experience to jump in and assist with 1000 tax notices we have backlogged MUST be able to know how/where to research issues and then work with government agencies to resolve.

Must have: Proficiency with Office 10 - Excel, Word, PowerPoint Proven ability to work independently as well as in a team environment Basic US payroll employment tax knowledge/experience. Good to have Client Smart Compliance, Cyborg, Access, Ceridian and General payroll knowledge Deadline driven - Organized individual - Attention to detail - Communication skills Ability to prioritize work.
