About your Internship
Join us and you will be an integral part of our team. Over 9-10 intensive weeks, you will experience what its like to work for a leading international bank. During the interview process, you will engage with senior members of the Strategic Analytics team and will be matched with one of these.
During the internship, following an initial training program, you will be placed directly with the team you matched with during the interview. You will be immersed in the role and experience what it means to be a part of our team. Additionally, you will benefit from training courses, seminars, and a variety of networking events. Successful interns will be invited to join the Deutsche Bank Graduate Program.
About the Division
The Investment Bank consists of Deutsche Banks Financing & Advisory and Fixed Income & Currencies (FIC) businesses.
The Investment Bank is dedicated to building long-term, sustainable relationships with the banks key corporate and institutional clients. It combines a market-leading institutional sales force, world-class research with trading and structuring expertise to provide clients with access to liquidity and customised solutions across a wide range of markets, products and regions.
Our interns are given maximal opportunity to learn about the business at large and their specific role. The program starts with up to a week of classroom-based training, and then you will be placed directly into a Strategic Analytics team.
Strat analytics combines expertise in quantitative analytics, modelling, pricing and risk management with a deep understanding of systems architecture and programming. Teams in Strats develop pricing and risk management analytics and tools for sales and trading and employ those tools to carry out quantitative analysis of complex transactions and strategies.
Strats use their numerical and coding expertise to develop models, interfacing with the business to deliver cutting edge analytics to meet the latest market needs.
The program will provide you with the robust learning opportunities and give you the skills and experience to launch a long-term career with us. You will learn from the best, evolve professionally as well as personally, and build a firm foundation upon which to specialise later.
We are looking for bright minds with good academic records and some practical work experience to create a positive impact for our customers.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- A passion for finance
- An academic focus on business, engineering, computer science, natural sciences or other comparable subjects
- Strong quantitative skills
- Programming experience in Python, C++, or other languages like VBA, Java, R, Matlab
- Proficiency in working with MS Excel and other common applications
- Strong communication skills and fluency in English
- The ability to work well in a team and inspire others
- (Optionally) An advanced degree in maths, physics, computer science, computational finance, or similar
