The Director of IT Auditwill work under the direction of the VP of Internal Audit to promote, administer and maintain Covetrus Internal Audit IT function. This position is expected to provide vision and leadership for developing and implementing information technology controls and overseeing the vendor due diligence and monitoring to manage risk and align with the business objectives of the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Develop and manage a formal IT Audit annual plan.
  • Provide input to management on the ICFR annual risk assessment and systems in scope.
  • Develop and execute an annual audit plan.
  • Assist management and other personnel in the design, application and assessment of internal controls to safeguard assets, ensure accuracy and completeness of financial and operations data and promote operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop and present periodic reporting to VP of Internal and Senior Management.
  • Perform routine audits of critical vendors.
  • Continue to simplify and improve IT Audit processes.


  • Team of professional employees.



  • Bachelors degree preferably in Business Administration, Computer Science or Information Systems.
  • 10+ years of professional experience in audit and risk.


  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CSSLP or CISM desired.


  • Experienced, confident presenter to all audiences.
  • Ability to prioritize and to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, manage several projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and communicate potential conflicts to manager.
  • Ability to be an effective team member and display initiative and flexibility in team goal orientation in a fast pace, ever changing environment.
  • Ability to be flexible and change with environment, industry, and business demands.
  • Highly motivated and attentive to detail.
