DescriptionAs a Director, you will provide various accounting advisory services including, but not limited to, assistance with initial public offerings (IPO Readiness), advising on accounting policies, restatement assistance, financial reporting, complex transactions, and addressing the need for continuous improvement and optimization of the finance and accounting functions. In addition, the ideal candidate has a strong desire to build and maintain a book of business.To succeed in this role, you should also have strong coaching and team management skills, as well as the desire to mentor staff.Key Responsibilities Supervise and perform day-to-day activities of projects including interaction with client personnel, other team members, and professionals from other firms involved in accounting advisory consulting engagements. Perform technical accounting research, assist in preparing reports and schedules that will be delivered to clients and other parties, and develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel. Maintain detailed working paper records of reflecting assumptions, methodologies, and sources of information employed during the performance of all analytical tasks. Deliver a high-quality product within established timeframes. Prepare draft written analyses and other reports for third parties, as necessary, on the project scope and/or results of activities. Preparing and reviewing financial statements and technical accounting positions papers as well as other required pre-audit support materials. Generating new and add-on business opportunities, developing delivery methodologies and new service offerings, and coaching and developing team members Providing input on strategic direction of the firm?s goals and expansion Requirements Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline (e.g. Accounting, Finance or Business Related Field) required. Minimum of 12 years of public accounting or public/private combination. Experience with public companies. CPA is required. Detailed knowledge of current accounting and auditing principals. (GAAP, IFRS, GAAS, etc) Technical Accounting expert. Understanding of internal control concepts including the COSO framework. Knowledge of auditing processes and methodologies. Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley Act provisions and methodologies for achieving compliance. Interpersonal skills to interact in team environment and foster client relationships. Strong written communication skills including documentation of findings and recommendations.
