Kelly Services is seeking a Junior Accountant for a pharmaceutical company in Morrisville, NC.Job Title: Junior Accountant
Location: Morrisville, NC 27560
Job Type: Contract, potential Contract-To-Hire
Length: 6-Months
Target Start Date: 10/7/19
Hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm, M-F
Pay Rate: $18.00 - $21.70 per hour Summary: Junior Accountant- 6 month contract, as time progresses the workload is addressed could be full time opportunity. Background in Accounting or Finance, Bachelor s degree is good. Anyone with more than a BA or BS may not be interested in this role as it is more JR. Unless they are recent grads looking to gain experience. Service or Pharma industry would be good to have, but not required. Tasks assigned will vary, and they will have exposure to finance and accounting. Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for reviewing Accounts Receivable contracts, invoices and committing invoices
  • Responsible for assisting in Accounts Payable invoices coding
  • Responsible for Payroll Journal entries and coordination with HR and corporate
  • Required to proactively participate in the Finance Department month-end close, etc.
  • Responsible for filing all month end closing entries / monthly reconciled accounts
  • Other tasks as deemed necessary

Education or Equivalent:

  • Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a directly related field
  • 1-2 years of general accounting experience preferred

Knowledge/Skills Requirements:

  • Principles and practices of accounting procedures
  • Knowledge of Fixed Assets, General Ledger, Account Receivables and Account Payables
  • Accounts Receivable proficiency
  • Knowledge of various computer software programs to include: Microsoft Excel, Word, Accounting, Excellent organization, verbal and written communication skills
  • Results and Detail oriented
  • Effective, efficient & effusive team member
  • Exceptional ability to collaborate with all internal and external customers
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in addition to adapting, adopting and absorbing quickly and comprehensively
  • Strong work ethic, positive can-do mentality & mannerism and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with Advanced Excel skills such as V lookup, pivot, sumif, etc
  • Experience with ERP software especially JDE a plus
