As a Senior Analyst within the Pricing & Contracting group, you are responsible for maintaining the accuracy and execution of pricing and contracting activities. You will partner with management to review strategy and carry out the associated action items for the business. You will insure maintenance of process and compliance.

  • Draft approved pricing contracts (company template, customer template with approved redlines)
  • Send price load direction to pricing services
  • Research pricing discrepancies
  • Review and prepare bulk purchase requests or other approved Marketing pricing concession programs
  • Create and review expiration reports
  • Capable of performing sales analytics with product / customer data
  • Lead weekly call with regional salesforce and execute requests with necessary internal teams
  • Research account structure
  • Run pricing tool macro (no programming needed, only press a button to run the tool based off research inputs)
  • Responsible for periodic analysis and reporting of key business metrics
  • Monitors compliance to corporate or national account purchasing contracts. Responsible for analyzing proposed contracts and pricing alternatives
  • Participates in design of proposed contracts and performs required analysis and examines alternatives
  • Collects key information from areas as Sales and Marketing, R&D, Finance, Supply Chain, etc. to assist in completion of departmental objectives
  • Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level
  • Responsible for ensuring personal and company compliance with all Federal, State, local and company regulations, policies and procedures for Health, Safety and Environmental compliance
  • Your activities may include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Develop commercial offers for independent customers for North America
  • Review price offer and research pricing discrepancies
  • Partner with Corporate Account Managers for the execution of RFP and commercial bid responses
  • Review customer redlines against template terms and conditions with the Cordis LI and legal counsel Collaborate with other members of the Pricing and Contracts team and contract consultants to meet team goals and objectives
  • Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree and equivalent work experience
  • Contracting experience is required
  • 6+ of related experience in roles such as Contracts Analyst, Sales/Marketing Analyst
  • The candidate must be a quick learner and possess excellent written, oral, and presentation skills. It is required that the candidate demonstrates:
  • Strong analytical and organization skills
  • Customer service skills, which include the ability to gather feedback, display a sense of urgency, make recommendations, follow-up, and follow through to deliver timely solutions
  • Proficiency to synthesize and clearly present large amounts of complex data verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, manage conflicting priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to manage high volume and effectively balance workload
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint
  • The employee must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Must have a keen understanding of the marketplace we operate in and must have a working knowledge of our products and their uses
  • The capacity to work in a team environment and manage projects accordingly
  • Experience in contracting, contracting processes and systems knowledge
  • Knowledge of efficient database setup and construction is highly desirable
  • A keen understanding of process
  • The aptitude to implement improvements
  • Knowledge of the vascular space (cardiovascular or endovascular) or medical devices, especially Class III medical devices or implantable device
  • Understand healthcare compliance, legal restrictions, business guidelines
  • Strong communication skills for all levels and types of interaction sales management, internal partners, customers (contract manager, materials management, A/P, lawyers)
  • Good presentation skills sales training, training at national sales meetings training to internal Cardinal Health partners
