What FP&A contributes to Cardinal Health

Finance is responsible for the accounting, tax, financial plans and policies of the organization, establishing and maintaining fiscal controls, preparing and interpreting financial reports, oversight of financial systems, strategic decisions and support, and safeguarding the organization's assets.

The FP&A COE drives enterprise-wide vision for FP&A from a global process, technology and service level / quality perspective. It also drives innovation, insight generation and continuous improvement strategy for Finance and owns vendor management aspects relating to FP&A activities provided by the outsourcing partner.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or similar field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience with a multinational corporation and/or a professional services firm focusing on process improvement and digital enablement for the FP&A function
  • Experience in working in a matrixed organization, including Business Process Outsourcing vendor(s) or other outsource providers
  • Experience working in a complex, multi-ERP / system environment
  • Performance-driven mindset with the ability to prioritize business finance needs for innovative FP&A and business partnering solutions
  • Clear ability to innovate and drive change
  • Skilled at developing strong relationships and working collaboratively with / through others

Accountabilities

This position will support the PTF/Analytics GPO in the development and governance over the planning, budgeting and forecasting processes.

  • Manage defined capability roadmap for FP&A and support in execution of near-term initiatives through Cardinal finance and BPO service delivery
  • Lead FP&A transitions with BPO service delivery to ensure success of new service delivery model
  • Partner within Cardinal Health and BPO service delivery leadership and analyze service delivery metrics to drive the continuous improvement and innovation agenda for in-scope processes
  • Partner with digital strategy group to execute digitally enabled opportunities for global end-to-end processes
  • Provide guidance to design a standardized end-to-end global process strategy across Plan to Forecast and Management reporting areas that is efficient and effective in serving the needs of the business
  • Drive innovation and ensure outcomes (financial, quality, risk and compliance) for all ongoing FP&A initiatives both within BPO and retained organization
  • Manage day-to-day FP&A Management Reporting operations within Cardinal Health and BPO through collaboration with the BPO leads
  • Execute improvement initiatives across functional silos, geographic and business unit boundaries
  • Drive vendor accountability across FP&A service quality standards
  • Assist in process standardization in partnership with business unit finance
  • Ensure seamless transition / handoff of activities to Genpact including E2E process maps, governance and interaction models
  • Support the development of standardized KPIs, SLAs and other metrics across the enterprise

Cross-functional Business Partnering with Other CAH Stakeholders. The PTF/Analytics GPO support role will work cross-functionally within and outside of the FP&A COE. The following is representative of the cross-functional interactions:

  • Business units - understand their requirements relating to the Budgeting/Planning process as well as Analytics
  • Genpact – engage with the outsourcing hub to ensure that a consistent FP&A approach is followed throughout the enterprise
  • FP&A CoE Lead – collaborate on and provide input into overall vendor management as well as enable realization of enterprise vision
