VP, Creative Director

Job Summary: The VP Creative Director will help set the direction, style and methodology of the marketing communications group and will lead the design team to translate our brand mission into creative concepts and designs to take advantage of best practices across channels.
The CD must possess significant experience and practical expertise in branding, strategy, and visual design, as well as a high competency for managing a large, interdisciplinary team on the most complex of projects.
Essential Job Duties: Leads the concepting, development and execution of all creative while inspiring and advocating for the creative team to produce great ideas and exceptional work Provides creative ideas, branding, and visual solutions for a variety of projects Creates a team environment that empowers, and encourages creativity, innovation, accountability and continuous improvement Leads all work and projects from initiation to completion; determines how best to leverage creative talent Review creative work developed by design team for strategic integrity as well as to ensure that brand and creative-quality standards have been achieved Understands and meets the needs of key stakeholders Demonstrates an understanding of business priorities; executes business priorities from a creative standpoint Participate in creative presentations to internal colleagues as well as clients effectively representing concepts and solutions to influence sell-through to clients
Skills, Education and Experience: Bachelors degree in Graphic Design or related field Masters degree a plus 12-15+ years experience guiding creative for brands, building brand awareness through compelling initiatives Prior track record of leading and managing world class design work, and the development and implementation of large and complex creative initiatives Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with strong organizational and time management skills, and a detail-oriented approach to problem solving
