Job Description Summary:
Greets and registers guests, provides prompt and courteous service, and closes out guest accounts upon completion of stay to meet Interstate’s high standards of quality. Prepares overnight audit process for end of day business. Prepares reports and accounting totals for management review.
Areas of Responsibility:
Creates 100% guest satisfaction by providing exceptional hospitality and by exceeding guest expectations Answering incoming calls Taking walk-in reservations during shift Handling guest check ins /check outs Handling, directing, and responding to guest inquires Communicating effectively with other personnel and departments to ensure that guest needs are met Accurately handle credit cards, cash and check transactions Coordinate with Bell staff to issue guest amenities (bike/kayaks/gifts/deliveries, shuttle runs to town, etc) Knowledge of Boothbay Harbor and surrounding area
Oversees all daily and periodic audits of hotel revenues ensuring timeliness, accuracy and completeness Distributes the work to the appropriate accounting personnel Spreads all miscellaneous wash accounts Researches all unpaid tips and requests the proper disbursal Controls the restaurant guest checks
Prepares all necessary daily and period end reports Maintains filing system for daily information; registration cards, credit cards, restaurant charges, etc. Completes forecast accuracy report of rooms, guests and outlets Prepares reports as requested for improved management decision
