Reports to: Director of Sales and Marketing

Summary:The North Region Sales Manager will be charged with developing and implementing strategic and tactical plans that maximize profit and supports our corporate sales and marketing objectives. Through a combination of face-to-face sales activities and management of the activities of our rep agencies, the Regional Sales Manager will work to gain market share and increase the awareness, appreciation, and understanding of the B-K Lighting + TEKA Illumination brands. The Regional Sales Manager will be the main communication conduit between our companies and the specification lighting channel we serve.

The North Region Sales Manager will cover the northeastern portion of the United States and eastern Canada. Traveling is expected to be 50-70%. This is a home office-based role requiring residency within the territory and proximity to a major airport hub for the purpose of efficient travel.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities: Meet or exceed quarterly and annual booking and revenue forecasts. Target, establish, and nurture access and relationships with external stakeholders including rep agents, specifiers, distributors, and contractors.Develop and execute local and regional sales and marketing initiatives that advance our corporate sales and marketing goals. Understand the internal business processes of our rep agency partners and co-develop a tailored strategy to increase market share within the territories they serve. Establish annual rep agency forecasts and goals that reflect market potential and encourage engagement with the B-K Lighting + TEKA Illumination brands. Coordinate with other internal teams, departments, and individuals to ensure a high degree of customer satisfaction. Analyze regional sales data to establish sales goals. Identify and report local and regional trends and competitor intelligence within the specification community to identify new product development opportunities and competitive threats.Represent the B-K Lighting + TEKA Illumination brands at industry events, building on our brand reputation to deepen existing relationships and build new ones.Actively participate in regional industry associations and related activities. Planning for, managing and staffing all sales promotion activities within the region, including trade shows, seminars, training classes, and customer-driven activities. Attendance and participation in local, regional, and (inter)national meetings.

Education and Experience Requirements: Thorough understanding of the specification lighting channel. Minimum of 5 years outside sales experience required. Experience leading and managing rep agencies. B.A./B.S. in Business preferred, or degree in related field. Lighting design and installation experience preferred. Ability to communicate effectively with people of diverse backgrounds. Ability to understand and create business plans. Able to travel via airplane

Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical work for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds (samples, demos, and literature). Repeatedly perform physical operations, including pushing, pulling, gripping, twisting, reaching, bending, stacking and turning. Wearing Personal Protective Equipment: safety glasses and closed-toe shoes.

Essential Responsibilities:
The CFO is a member of senior management and executive team, and acts in the place of the CEO when appropriate. Drives and administers an adequate plan for the control of operations. Such a Plan provides profit planning, sales forecasts, expense budgets, cost standards, saving opportunities, and capital investing, together with the necessary controls and procedures to effectuate the plan. Fosters an innovative learning environment. Partners with all department heads in planning and implementation of their departmental budgets. Develops daily, weekly and monthly reports to ensure operations are within budget and provides financial and operational counseling when needed. Leads forecasts short-range and long-range cash requirements and obligations, as a basis for maintaining adequate funds. Assures protection for the assets of the business through internal control, internal auditing, and ensuring proper insurance coverage. Collaborates with Sales in establishing and maintaining product pricing policies. Develops and implements a sound operational and organizational plan in direct support of the business goals. Keeps the CEO informed of department performance and provides advice on all financial matters. Partners with outside CPA firm in all tax planning, reporting and accounting to ensure all required tax preparation and filings are performed on time. Leads and develops finance teams. Ensures timely completion of all matters related to ESOP and 401K Plans. Attends various ESOP and Captive related programs, seminars, conferences. Owns the success of critical banking partnerships and all related activities, ensuring compliance with all applicable covenants. Participates in key decisions as a member of the executive management team. Presents quarterly financial statements to the Board of Directors.
