Job Summary

Manage and distribute B2B customer static catalog ( product content and pricing ) requests, monitor data loads to B2B Marketplace solutions ( I.E. Jaggaer, Ariba, Coupa, etc. )

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities (List in order of importance):

  • Manage and distribute B2B customer static catalog (product / pricing) requests, monitoring data loads to B2B marketplace solutions (i.e. Jaggaer, Ariba, Prodigo, Coupa)
  • Facilitate customer calls to gather and analyze catalog requirements, compared to the VWR product data/ attributes available. Manage customer expectations.
  • Facilitate internal calls with Sales and Pricing Analysts to ensure that the catalog updates are timed / planned correctly, according to pricing changes with the customers contract in SAP.
  • Organize and document all catalog processes, data feeds, and schedules, related to the generation and distribution of customer static catalogs.
  • Provide technical support for existing e-Catalogs customers and applicable B2B marketplaces.
  • Interacts well and builds good working relationships with all project players.
  • Manages small B2B projects, as assigned by the Team Lead or Director.
  • Works closely with Master Data and Regulatory teams to ensure that we provide enriched content to customer systems, which ultimately drives the end user search experience for products.
  • Handle content maintenance tasks, such as punch-out set ups, VWR UNSPSC / UoM code changes, punch-out testing, and B2B product blocking activities.
  • Qualifications (Education/Training, Experience and Certifications):

  • 4-year degree and 2-4 years of applicable experience
  • Minimum 1-2 years of project management
  • Strong customer-facing communication skills; Ability to lead a conference call or meeting.
  • IT mindset, comfortable with various data formats (.txt, .csv, .xls, .xml), e-Business protocols (cXML, xCBL, html, OCI).
  • Key tools: Oracle SQL, MS Access, MS Excel, MS Word, UltraEdit, Putty, WS FTP-Pro, Linux Shell Scripting (AWK knowledge is a plus).
  • Knowledge or experience with various B2B procurement solutions that customers may choose to implement (Oracle IP, SAP, Jaggaer, Ariba, Prodigo, Coupa).
  • Experience with system integrations is a plus.
  • Experience with data queries, file exports, data uploads is important.
  • Knowledge and experience of VWR product master data and related systems is a plus (SAP, VWR.com, STEP / STIBO).
  • Ability to understand data (i.e. EDI / XML protocols) and technical systems.
  • Strong analytical, data mining skills.
  • Ability to juggle and prioritize many small projects and catalog requests.
  • Ability to drill down quickly to the root cause of a technical or data issue.
  • Must be customer friendly and able to work through difficult customer data issues.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Must exhibit a positive attitude, be able to energize others, and be self-motivated.
  • Must be detail oriented (i.e. working with data), and be able to see the big picture (total impact).
  • Should be able to think outside of the box to drive process and data improvements for customers.
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand business and related technical processes.
  • Environmental Working Conditions & Physical Effort (Under Typical Positions):

    Typically works in an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range of temperature and noise level.

    Work assignments are diversified. Examples of past precedent are used to resolve work problems. New alternatives many be developed to resolve problems.

    A frequent volume of work and deadlines impose strain on routine basis.

    Minimal physical effort is required. Work is mostly sedentary but does require walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting or carrying objects that typically weigh less than 10 lbs.
