These coverages are offered for diverse classes of business including specialized industries such as gaming, security guards, check cashers, and program business.We are currently searching for a Marketing Assistant in our Divisional headquarters located in Windsor, CT. The role of the Marketing Assistantis towork with our underwriting staff to accurately issue policies and endorsements inaccordance with Company objectives and policies.ResponsibilitiesPerforms a varietyof policy administration tasks in support of the business within established production and quality guidelines. Tasks may include:Reviews instructions fromthe underwriter to understand / determine what is needed to provideissuances, renewals, endorsements, etc.Enterspremium andpolicy information into appropriate systems for policy updates / issuance.Maintains file accuracy and completeness.Sets up and clears submissions.Researches and resolves and / or corrects errors and / or issues.Prepares, assembles and / or issues policy / endorsements and associated documentation.Researches and reconciles premium / billing accounting discrepancies. Responds to premium / billing questions.Utilizes computerized systems for research, tracking, information gathering and / or troubleshooting (i.e., Excel / Word programs, legacy systems, internal systems, third party vendor delivered systems, etc.).Shares and / or conveyspolicy information via telephone ore-mail to underwriters, agents, brokers, maintaining a professional demeanor in all situations.May participate in other departmental processes / projects, such as changes / enhancements to forms and screens, user acceptance testing for systems and policies, and reviewing impact to current policies / practices.May act as a liaison with other departments and facilitate interdepartmental communication.May perform other tasks including support, photocopying, imaging, mail, data entry, agent contracting support and / or supply functions.Demonstrates expert knowledge of department policies and procedures and utilizes broad understanding of the business (including products, coverages, etc.) and organization. Complies with company and regulatory guidelines.Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications4 to 6 years related experience. Experience in the insurance industry preferred.Must possess a high level of customer service and proven success in building and maintaining effective business relationships.High level of organizational skills, ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines.Proficiency in PC based programs and Microsoft Office.Not ready to apply?
