About the Role:

Were looking for a diligent staff accountant to keep our books and records on track with unwavering accuracy. The most successful candidate will have a natural passion for problem solving and a strong understanding of the intricacies of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, and other financial transactions within an organization. This position requires a high degree of autonomy, yet also needs to be an excellent team player. The candidate will play an enormously important supportive role in a tight knit finance team of three.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for most general bookkeeping tasks
  • Manages customer collections by engaging with clients to collect on invoices and working closely with the Customer Success team to resolve issues
  • Timely processing of accounts payable and working with vendors on any billing discrepancies
  • Process weekly expense reimbursements for employees world-wide
  • Assist with the accurate and timely close of the financial statements in compliance with US GAAP, including reconciling bank accounts, credit cards, and subledgers
  • Assist with creating new internal accounting policies and maintain/update existing policies
  • Help with gathering information for audits and tax preparation

Experience Profile: relevant past experience (Requirements)

  • Degree in accounting
  • 1 to 2 years experience in corporate or public accounting
  • Must haves:
    • Experience with Quickbooks Online
  • Nice to haves:
    • Experience with:
      • Zuora
      • Bill.com
      • Expensify
      • Expense/Spend management platforms such as Divvy
    • Knowledge of deferred revenues and understanding Revenue Recognition Standard, ASC 606
