Essential Functions:
  • Limited preparation of tax returns including:1040, 1065, 1120, 1120S
  • Technical review of tax returns including:1040, 1065, 1120, 1120S
  • Provide necessary support and resources to staff/interns so their activities achieve objectives
  • Monitor the quality of our product and performance of our personnel
  • Manage and oversee monthly billing functions and monitor additions to WIP, aging and write-downs of WIP
  • Facilitate and participate in in-house CPE and training activities
  • Communicate and interface with clients to ensure the clients best interests are achieved
  • Manage and motivate personnel via positive and constructive feedback, collaborative reviews and mentoring
  • Maintain public certification and adequate Continuing Professional Education units
  • Stay abreast of developments and changes in tax law and accounting procedures
  • Assist in special projects assigned by Partners and Managers Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field preferred; Certified Public Accountant or actively sitting for the exam
  • Minimum 4 years experience in public accounting
  • Minimum 1-2 years supervisory experience
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills
  • Well-developed decision-making skills and initiative to make those decisions
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
  • Ability to conduct research and analyze information collected
  • Ability to prioritize a heavy work load and remain organized
  • Demonstrated leadership ability
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems creatively
